Friends of Hāwea Flat School is a dedicated group of parent volunteers committed to enhancing the educational experience of the students at Hāwea Flat School. 

We are a social group who meet once a month to discuss and plan for volunteer opportunities at community events, host fun activities like school discos, and celebrate milestones together.  

In recent years this group has contributed funding to a wide range of projects including:

- Update of school library books

- Redevelopment and upgrade of school bike park

- Development of an emergency response kit (kept at the school)

- Subsidised costs for school swimming

The continuation of this group is dependent on parent support. If you are interested in becoming involved in any way, whether you can lend a hand at events or have ideas for future projects, we welcome you to join. Please don't hesitate to contact us at friends@haweaflat.school.nz
